Mineral Imbalance or Gut Toxicity is a very important issue that faces the modern horse owner today.
Due to diversification, many UK farmers are turning their farms into livery yards or renting land out to horse owners.
This is fabulous for the local economy but not so great for the domestic equine as now they are being fed on very lush processed grass designed for fattening livestock, not old rough pasture that is more suited to our modern leisure horse.
At CHH we feel that this mixed with our unusual weather has contributed to the rise in gut and behavioural problems.
